Isaac Visoutsy is a passionate and hardworking violinist and teacher based in the greater Los Angeles area. This past summer, Isaac was a violin fellow at the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colorado, where they played over eighteen symphonic concerts in just eight weeks. The experience doubled his orchestral repertoire and he gained professional orchestral knowledge from conductors and faculty. He has participated in masterclasses for renowned concertmasters such as Jorja Fleezanis and Glenn Dicterow, and acclaimed soloists like Haik Kazazyan, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and many more. In 2019, at CSU Fullerton Isaac was the recipient of the Yamaha Strings Award and also placed second in the school wide Concerto Competition. Over the last seven years, Isaac has played under the batons of masterful conductors such as Carl St. Clair, Michael Stern, Joann Falleta, Rob Kapilow, and Tania Miller to name a few.

Though his main objective is orchestral playing and audition preparation, he also enjoys chamber music and has performed many different pieces from string trios to octets, serious piano quintets, quirky oboe quintets and many other instrumentations. His most influential collaborative mentor’s include Jan Talich of the Talich Quartet, Domenic Salerni of the Attacca Quartet, and pianist Ning An with whom he studied collaborative playing with pianists.

Currently, Isaac is a section member of the American Youth Symphony and the Mozart Classical Orchestra. He also plays regularly with local orchestras such as the Whittier Regional Symphony, Heart of Los Angeles, and others. Isaac is a dedicated violin teacher and enjoys preparing his students for competitions, auditions, and recitals. He recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in performance from CSU Fullerton and is currently working towards his master’s degree in violin performance at UCLA studying under Varty Manouelian and Movses Pogossian. He strongly believes that with enough hard work and enthusiasm we can reach unfathomable heights. In his free time, Isaac loves playing chess, cooking for his loved ones, and taking care of his many plants.
