Jenny Gergis has a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Vanguard University of Southern California where she toured the western United States, New York, Europe, and Asia with her college choir, performing in front of a few thousand people in various styles of music.

After college, she was in a rock band and a folk duo singing and playing piano. With her folk duo In The Wilderness, she recorded and released two EPs, took two West Coast tours, and got featured on a TV morning show.

Teaching all ages, she loves incorporating fun activities and silly exercises in her lessons from her years of musical theater experiences.

Part of Jenny’s teaching method is to serve as a mentor to her students and get to know them as individuals. She hopes her holistic approach creates a more welcoming environment in which learning can flourish more naturally, and serve as an opportunity for students to not only learn music, but connect to it.
